About the founder
Mérèl Bilderbeek has been working as an image consultant since 2011 and teaching Color & Style since 2012. Initially, she conducted Color & Style classes in a traditional classroom setting. However, she realized that developing an eye for color and style should not be constrained to a specific timeframe, as individuals progress at their own pace. In 2014, Mérèl proposed the idea of an online course to her former employer, but unfortunately, her idea was promptly rejected.
Fast forward to 2021, Mérèl has introduced the Impact Styling Academy in the Netherlands, offering online distance courses and launching her own sustainable fashion color tools, the Stylingtoolbox.
Recently, there has been a growing interest in an international course, with some enthusiasts traveling to The Netherlands for color training. Consequently, the courses have been translated into English to establish an international community of #impactstylists
